American Presidents

Doug Wead has had the privilege of meeting six American presidents and has conducted hours of interviews with them.  He has co-authored a book with a president, served as an advisor to two presidents, and served on the senior staff of the White House for one.  Wead has written over 1,000 pages of memorandums to presidents, some are available in their libraries, but most are classified.  He has also had the privilege of serving on charity committees with six first ladies.

For 24 years, Doug Wead has been researching and writing about the families of the American presidents.  All the Presidents’ Children, the first of two books about the first families, was an instant New York Times bestseller.  The second, The Raising of a President was the first book written on the subject of the presidents’ parents.
